Well, I guess I have truly become a “mom”. I have become obsessed with a product called baby legs. They are baby leg warmers and are used to keep your little one’s legs warm or to protect them from hard surfaces when crawling. They also make diaper changes very easy! Anyway, I was going to buy some but they cost $12 a pair. I said forget it and made my own! In fact I have become so obsessed that I made 10 pairs. I learned how to make these by following the tutorial here.
Two days ago I was asked by the Rubicon Project (an advertising network that I used…) to place a terms of service (TOS) on this blog stating that I will not promote adult stuff. Basically they don’t want me peddling porn. LOL, this is a blog about raising my daughter… Well, I created a TOS that was about as solid as any other TOS that you see on the net, which is to say it has no real enforceable value and makes some ridiculous assertions. And of course I had to do it in my usual smart assed manner, which I pushed into absurdity and apparently Rubicon didn’t see the point or my humor. Soo…
more...I have been asked to by one of my ad/affiliate networks to add a Terms of Service notice to this site. LOL. I’m serious. Ridiculous I know, but alas, it gives me a topic of humor to write about.
Warning, by clicking the following link to read it the TOS, you are agreeing to to be bound by law in a contractual agreement to put 5 bucks into Ashley’s college fund. Just kidding.

Pretty much every kid gets it at some point, and the rash itself is not a big deal, though it looks bad. Red welts all over her trunk. All gone now, but, pretty bad looking for about 2 days. The only possible issue from what I could find was the fever, which was over anyway. So, all is good. First illness, and no worse the wear.

I have invented a new baby device. You have a buy a couch with cushions. The heavier the cushions the better. Also a big lounge chair would work as well.

All you do, is stuff your baby down behind the cushion, so they are wedged between the couch back-frame and the cushion. The reason a heavier cushion works better is so the baby cannot move. You can also shore up the cushion with 1 or 2 of the 30 excessive throw pillows your wife has piled the couch under. The beauty of this setup is that you can stuff your baby in, and walk away without fear of baby doom. Of course out of sight is a bad idea, unless its only for a few hours… just kidding. But anyway, you can then play your video games, or just wander aimlessly around the house, and baby is safe.
The side effects are, puke on the couch, drool on the couch, snot on the couch, and wife being mad at you when you get caught.
The benefits are, being able to change a light fixture, play video games, cook some food, baby loves it since she can watch you do stuff, wife thinks its cute even though you are being a bad daddy.
more...Yesterday Ashley had her first fever. No idea what it was from since she wasn’t really coughing or sneezing or anything else for that matter. Just a little down is all. Fever hit 101.7, at least that we measured. The doctor said to sell at 103, but we never got there. Gave her some tylenol “as the doctor directed” and she started cooling off about 2 hours later. All is good now, a little warm, but still under the normal 100.5 fluctuation that infants swing up to.
