Who’dda thunk it? Seriously, I’m a smart person, but apparently you have to be a genius to understand the intricate differences between strollers and car seats. We were looking a graco and perego mostly. Checked out a few other brands to see what was up, but finally started whittling it down.

Jogging stroller, um, no… unless one of starts jogging regularly. Giant bus of a graco quattro stroller, makes your penis smaller, and requires strength training to use. Plus the horrific colors and patterns, oh my some are bad.

We finally realized that we are lazy, so that means the need to get a fully mobile urban assault stroller is not necessary. We both work at home, so its not going to be often that the baby will need to be taken on an excursion. We need something that can hold a small human, and will get used once in a while, basically trips to other cities. Long day out? Probably just gonna use the Baby Bjorn chest carrier, but regardless, the stroller will work. Out to lunch? Why bring a stroller for the 30 foot walk to the front door? We are not mall rats. We may go for a walk around the neighborhood, but the stroller we get will be fine for that.

So, we decided on the Prego brand, mostly because they were smaller than the graco’s, but also they weren’t nearly as ugly. Almost racing seat looking. Originally we were thinking the Peg Perego Aria, but when we tried it out at the store it seemed a bit flimsy, even for just occasional use. Even without a kid in it is seemed to fight steering a bit. We settled on the Peg Perego Pliko P3, which i keep calling the Plinko (price is right). We chose the pink and black freestyle color scheme for it, which looks pretty nice I think. Also got the matching infant seat/carrier.

Hopefully it turns out to be a good choice. I have seen lots of horror stories about people buying strollers and car seats and realizing that its a piece of junk, or just isn’t easy to use, or some other unforeseeable issue. I will say that I would fully recommend going out an trying strollers out before you buy. Even just grab something that weighs a few pounds, like some heavy toy, and drive it around the store. It will give you an idea of how it will perform as your kid grows i would suppose.

Best price we could find was at AlbeeBaby.com
