Its weird. We have a video camera. We have high end digital SLRs. But we never had a take-anywhere-pocket-point-and-shoot camera. So we were thinking about how to best capture the moment(s) of birth and life and everything else that is Ashley.

So i was thinking about Ashely, and babies in general and realized that even though they are in the world once they are born, they still really don’t do anything of value. I know it sounds like im being an idiot at first, but hear me out. As an infant, she isn’t really going to do much. She will poop, sleep, eat, etc. A little bit of playing peekaboo and stuff like that, but no real back and forth interaction.

I am smart enough to realize that i could be completely wrong, since after all this is my first child, but to me it makes sense, and since its my blog for now, I am all that matters I know they start to develop a personality right from the start, but thats not what I am talking about. I am talking about actual interaction, hugs, playing, teaching, etc. The peekaboo game is gonna get old fast…

So I had a thought of the future. Ashley will be 5, loves her daddy (i hope lol), and comes running full speed, arms wide, yelling DADDY!!!!, crashes into me to give me a big hug, and her head cracks me in the nuts. LOL. Its funny how detailed you day dreams can be. Not even sure how possible that will be anyway, since I am self employed and don’t have any plans on changing that, unless i have to of course (hopefully not). So its not like im gonna be coming home from work to a loving daughter.

A well, it will be an experience. And Ashley, when you read this in a few years, try not to be too obnoxious of a teenager

Who’dda thunk it? Seriously, I’m a smart person, but apparently you have to be a genius to understand the intricate differences between strollers and car seats. We were looking a graco and perego mostly. Checked out a few other brands to see what was up, but finally started whittling it down.

Yesterday Jenny had her baby shower. The women all went to the Phoenician for sunday champaign brunch, though Jenny of course didnt have any champaign herself. It is probably one of the best brunches around. Much loot was received. Old friends were seen. It was apparently a good time, though i of course was not there.

Those little buds sticking out from the middle of either side of the jellybean are arms. The head is the end that is down to the left. you can see the two halves of the brain forming. cool
